One Spring Included
This Spring provides pressure to the Front and Rear Pressure Pawls in the feed block. Two are required in each assembly (1 for front and 1 for rear). The ends are closed and ground ensure smooth movement.
Over the years we've lost or broken a lot of these springs while working or MG34 Feed Blocks. We've also seen a lot of worn and rusted ones. With a damaged pressure pawl spring, it will not provide reliable downward pressure on the cartridge at the center of the feed tray to ensure smooth pickup by the cartridge pusher atop the bolt head. For the 308 conversions with the larger front pressure pawl, a good spring in necessary to ensure the proper feed angle for the cartridge to exit the tray and enter the chamber.
