Fixed the problem
Before using the new springs the gun fired fin with PRVI ammo but would not function at all with 1950s vintage Yugo Ammo. The Yugo ammo displayed light primer hits and the primers themselves were set slightly deeper contributing to the problem. The stronger springs (FP and Main) definitely corrected the situation...... no misfires, good primer strikes and runs like a top.
