This pin retains the advancing pawl in the MG34 feed block. The ends are solid and chamfered to ensure smooth movement in the feed block assembly.
Over the years we've lost or bent a lot of these pins while working or MG34 Feed Blocks. We've also seen a lot of worn and rusted ones. With a damaged pin the advancing pawl will not pivot properly and can lead to unreliable feeding.
