MG34 Barrel Carrier (Laufschützer 34) later converted for use with both MG34 and MG42 barrels. Note the rectangular sheet metal modification to accommodate the wider MG42 barrel collar.
CONVERTED FOR USE WITH BOTH MG34 & MG42 BARRELS
Production Variation: some were manufactured with the hold-open latch and some were not.
These came out of Yugoslav arsenals and were typically repainted after WW2. Slings may be post war as well
Condition: Good - minor dents, bends, rust, sling wear, and/or other surface blemishes generally as pictured.
* The latch and inserts work properly to hold the barrel.
Most of these were built without the hold-open bar. This feature was discarded in later production barrel carriers, typically in 1942-end.
