The front of the original MG42 trigger pack must be machined (see prints), then this part is welded to the front of the original trigger pack. It is very important to maintain the relationships between the holes during assembly.

BRP trigger adapter
This adapter allows you to keep your original MG42/M53 style grip stick and utilizes regular AR15 fire control parts. To get it to fit the original grip, you purge all the original parts. Then you have to thin the sides of the original housing about 1/8" all along the top to get the new housing to slip on and seat well enough to stay on while you weld it in a few crucial spots to the original housing. On my installation that required a lot of Dremel grinding to get the lip prepped. and then the trigger wouldn't fit until I ground out part of the original housing on each side. Once it fit, it worked just fine. If I had it to do over again, I would buy the already machined version. Also, I had to alter the pin position for the entire grip to get the grip to move back about 1/16" in the receiver in order to allow the AR15 hammer to come fully forward when released to get a good hit on the BRP version 2 bolt carrier's firing pin.
