How the Push-Button Receiver-to-Lower Locking System Works
The Lower Assembly has a Locking Post permanently attached. The Locking Post inserts through the Bottom of the Receiver and Buffer Assemblies. The Buffer Button fits into the front of the Buffer Housing and is pushed rearward by the Mainspring. By pushing the Buffer Button inward to align the round hole with the Buffer Housing, the Receiver and Buffer Assemblies can be aligned and lowered on the Locking Post. Once the Receiver and Buffer Assemblies are fully lowered on the Locking Post, the Buffer Button will automatically spring rearward to engage the Buffer Button Catch Slots on the Locking Post thereby securing the Receiver and Lower Housing Assemblies together.
